about

This song is a prayer for our times, for water protectors across the globe, and for the brave souls standing up and putting their lives on the line to defeat the Black Snake at Standing Rock. I want to thank Tom Menig for donating his engineering time and studio for the cause and to help get this song out to the people. Hopefully we can start illuminating these Black Snakes of corporate greed and fear and oppression, that tear through our lands and our sick systems, from the inside out....SPIT LIGHT INTO THE BLACK SNAKE'S MOUTH EXPLODE IT WITH LOVE. xoxox

lyrics

"Our skin tied over the drum an elder's eyes into the woods did run.

Children tied into the drum a newborn's tears with the river did run.

An eagle cries over the drum, an ancient seed smiled into the light of the sun.

While Medusa's head of black snakes, tears the the loss and what remains, praying as dogs snap between labor pains, empty words spoken again and again, The Sacred Hoop broken that we're trying to mend.

So well split the light in two well split the light in two...

We'll spit the light in you.
